The Keco works on four AA batteries, which will last about a year of normal touch operation and users have the option to email the eKeys to their family members or friends to get into their house.
Users also get notifications like eKey acceptance, low battery alerts and software updates that are easy to install and manage. The UniKey Kevo lock is available in many different swatches, including polished brass, satin nickel and Venetian bronze (a darker, mahogany color).
When the lock is touched, it lights up with a blue circle and then takes thrree to four seconds to lock, turning the light green from orange when unlocked, while the LED on the Kevo flashes red when the door is locked and green when it is open.
