NuVitality Data-Mines Scientific Research To Discover Why Exercise Won’t Make People Lose Weight

New studies have added some credence to claims that exercise will not induce weight-loss in and of itself. This age-old debate is broken down into factual findings.

Everybody has always thought that exercise, in and of itself, leads to wight-loss. Recent studies seem to show otherwise. Researchers at NuVitality  thought the topic was important enough to merit some research into the matter. A recent New York Times article really created quite a stir. How can it be that all those hours in the gym were futile?

Think about it, if this were true, then exercising without changing the diet would lead to weight loss. And changing the diet without exercise would not lead to weight-loss. The facts show that changing the diet, without exercise, can and does lead to weight loss. The metabolism can be regulated by a proper diet, and the lesser garbage calories which are part of a good diet also helps. Of course nobody disputes the fact that exercise and a good diet in combination are the best way to lose weight, and keep it off.

The study reported in the New York Times supported the claims that exercise has no significant impact on weight-loss. They were reporting on the conclusions of an Obesity & Exercise Clinical Study. This clinical-trial shadowed a group of fifty-eight overweight individuals who agreed to a 3-month period involving aerobic exercises that were supervised, but maintained the same diets.

The results were less than stellar. The study showed that intense exercise is good for burning-off carbohydrates, not only fatty tissue.

Edward Melanson, PhD, the lead author of the study, had this to say: “It all comes down to energy balance, or as you might have guessed, calories in and calories out. People are only burning 200 or 300 calories in a typical 30-minute exercise session, Melanson stated: “You replace that with one bottle of Gatorade." What is learned from this study was that once weight is lost from a reduction in calories consumed, exercise can stop it from returning via the resetting of metabolic-pathways that have the power of preventing the human body from its desire to store fat cells. Another effective method of caloric restriction is via suppressing appetite.

A spokesperson for NuVitality made these comments at a recent interview: “Other research points to Garcinia Cambogia Extract as a great start to regulating calories, which is an all natural approach with no side effects. In some cases, people just need a little help to get them started in the right direction towards weight-loss. It’s ok to enlist the aid of an all natural weight-loss supplement like the ones supplied by NuVitality. As the individual sees that they are shedding pounds, they become energized to set some real weight-loss goals.”
